There comes a point in the creative process where things begin to feel more settled. The aesthetic becomes clearer, the direction more defined, and each collection naturally builds on the one before it.
Starting a new brand involves a great deal of learning — experimenting, testing and refining over time. Reaching this stage hasn’t been rushed. It has been gradual, shaped by experience and a growing confidence in the direction of Josephine.
At our photoshoots, working with the same talented group of creatives each season, we often find ourselves saying, “this might be my favourite range yet,” or “it just keeps getting better.” That feeling isn’t accidental — it reflects the learning, adjustments and refinement that happen with every collection.
This winter I was drawn to the warmth of the season — rich, comforting tones that feel grounding during the cooler months. Alongside this, I wanted to introduce checks into the Josephine wardrobe for the first time. Seeing these custom fabrics come to life has been one of the most rewarding parts of the process.
The result is ‘Measured’, our Winter 08’26 collection.
The palette centres around Port Wine, deep and confident, supported by rich Chocolate, soft Butter, and grounding Black. Custom-designed checks, developed exclusively for Josephine, become a defining element throughout the range.
The collection continues Josephine’s signature oversized silhouettes, refined with careful attention to proportion and balance. Each piece has been designed to hold structure while remaining easy to wear, allowing the garments to move naturally within a wardrobe.
A new outerwear silhouette arrives with the Lawson Jacket, crafted in a textured custom check and fully lined in 100% cotton voile. Designed to be worn with the Lawson Pant in Chocolate, it introduces a confident new winter pairing.
The oversized shirt remains a cornerstone of the brand. This season introduces the Owen Shirt, a boxy silhouette through the front with a longer back hem for movement and balance. Cut in our exclusive check and crafted from cotton poplin, it offers a slightly slimmer interpretation while maintaining the relaxed proportions Josephine is known for.
The Sibyl Popover returns in a Butter and Port Wine check, developed exclusively for the season and designed to layer effortlessly.
This collection also introduces a new fabrication to Josephine — a premium heavyweight cotton jersey. Used in the Miles L/S Top and Winn Midi Dress, the fabric brings together comfort, durability and quiet structure.
Across the collection, each fabric has been intentionally developed for Josephine, continuing our commitment to working with exclusive textiles and thoughtful design.
‘Measured’ reflects a quiet confidence — pieces created to move easily through winter and beyond, designed to sit naturally within an existing wardrobe while becoming lasting favourites over time.
